Question
“Hi Dr Rita! Tips for constipation on a carnivore diet? Blood type A. I do electrolytes, plenty of fat, magnesium. Thinking of adding in a small amount of roasted vegetables.”  [0:03:30]

Answer
You don't have to have a bowel movement every day if you are on a carnivore diet. Passing a stool daily is not a necessary requirement for health on a carnivore diet. Most people on a carnivore diet have some degree of reduced bowel movement frequency, but most in general will pass a bowel movement every couple of days to three days. As long as you're feeling good, you're not in pain, and you're passing gas normally daily, these things are what count. So, I don't know that you have to work to try and add in items to get yourself to have a bowel movement. Often people who are doing carnivore over the period of weeks will start developing a pattern and maybe get to once a day or every other day.

Is it necessary to be pure carnivore? I think if you have complex carbohydrate vegetables that are cooked broccoli, asparagus, green beans, Brussels sprouts, that kind of material, buttered up, salt and peppered, yeah, I think that's fine to add in with your carnivore diet. I also think things that are fermented, maybe some kefir or sauerkraut, would be very helpful as well. As far as minerals, you put in the word here, ‘electrolytes’; that's salt, sodium, potassium chloride. But what we need are minerals, and the TLC Multi-Mineral is something that is well known to be supportive of bowel peristalsis, or the peristaltic motion of moving the stool forward for a bowel movement. The one we have here, TLC Multi-Mineral, has been tested clinically here for many years- 20-plus years- and we have a great record with it clinically. It is Albion chelated. Albion is the major producer of amino acid-attached minerals, and it's the greatest form of absorption. So with absorption, if you're not using amino acids, you dramatically drop off the absorption of the minerals. So, Albion-chelated minerals are what we want to make sure that you're getting, and that's what we have. But again, I don't know that I would worry even if I went three, four days without a bowel movement if I'm pure carnivore, and that's not necessarily something wrong. Again, if you're passing gas, you're feeling fine, and you are eventually passing a bowel movement once or twice a week, I still think that’s adequate.

Question
“Hi Dr. E., would you recommend L-theanine to lower cortisol and stress? Thank you!”  [0:07:14]

Answer
Yes, the B vitamins riboflavin and thiamine are very important B1 and B2 vitamins. L-theanine is the more important of the two, and that's for stress and for making our neurotransmitters in our gut. We actually make more serotonin in our gut from healthy bacteria, a healthy diet, and our vitamins. So, I'm very much in support of that. That's why I recommend the TLC Methylated B Complex so that you can get many, many benefits from all these B vitamins, even some anti-cancer benefits as well. So, yes, please do use that for stress, for helping make your own neurotransmitters, and even in your gut you make some of those as well.

Question
“Dear Dr. E., I am currently detoxing from gadolinium toxicity (MRI in June) and last week tried a sauna niacin protocol, and also had some mercury amalgams replaced. I then developed hives and mild swelling on my legs, so I stopped the protocol in case I incurred MCAS and started taking CA EDTA suppositories (3 so far). Is that OK? Thanks so much!”  [0:08:45]

Answer
Well, again, I'm not treating people or giving medical advice over the internet. My experience with Detoxamin ended, I would say, about, let's see, 10, 14 years ago. We had done the original work on the original product, called Detoxamin. I did some publications on it. The NIH picked up some of our work. We tried to apply for a new investigational drug application because EDTA, ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, is already an FDA-approved drug. But apparently somebody was selling the medication over the internet in the early 2000s. Whenever I used it, I prescribed it for my patients, and it was part of a prescription suited to the needs of my patients, and we managed them. Because of that, the FDA clamped down on it, and I never really saw any more Detoxamin made. Someone, I think, picked it up or who that was, I don't know- but it went overseas. And in the overseas market, the gray market, I guess a lot of people are still getting a product called Detoxamin that's supposed to be EDTA, and it comes in strengths- at least when I was working with it, 375 mg suppository and the nature of the suppository was very special too. The medium in which it went into the suppository to put that drug, EDTA, was very well absorbed, and that was about as much a research project as the EDTA and its benefits. So, we really put a lot into it. Unfortunately, it got taken off the market in the United States, and I couldn't get a hold of it, and I lost track of who was producing it. So, it's been so many years; I don't know who is running it anymore, and I don't know the quality of what's in it. So, I don't recommend EDTA suppositories over the internet. You need it prescribed so that there's control. I can order the suppository made for you. What I can't do is get the original medium that we would put it in, which had better absorption, and that's what our research showed. It was the highest-absorbed matrix for delivering any suppository form of medication. So, maybe the matrix that it has is good, maybe it's not, maybe it's the same as what I had. I don't know.

But when you say you had this niacin sauna protocol and then you got these hives, niacin is associated with a flush normally, a sense of redness, a dilation of the blood vessels. Vitamin B3 is known to do that. It's felt to be related to nitric oxide synthase being produced. Nitric oxide helps dilate the blood vessels. This isn't permanent. It lasts minutes, and then it goes away. So, it's really not a hive or anything. It is possible, though, to get hives with high niacin dosing. And most of the people who do this niacin flush are not using 10 or 15 mg of niacin, 25 mg, or maybe even as much as 50 mg, but they're using hundreds, and some use a thousand or more milligrams in a flush, and this is atypical. And so, I can't predict, you know, not knowing the patient, not knowing what preconditions or the age, even blood type, would make a difference. So, I don't recommend using these internet-recommended detox protocols. I think you should do it under the guidance of a physician who knows you. And if there's any risk or liabilities or age-related issues, a flush could drop your blood pressure, and an older person could faint and have an accident. So, there are many considerations a clinician needs to think about.

And then, better than EDTA suppositories as a treatment for that flush, if there truly is a mast cell activating syndrome starting, the natural herb I think of choice would be quercetin. Quercetin is a natural antihistamine. If you're trying to detox heavy metals, though, as well as the gadolinium, yeah, the EDTA is a very, very wise choice. But find a doctor; have them prescribe the suppositories. It's an inferior, slower methodology; it takes longer because you use lower doses and they're not absorbed as well, but eventually you'll get there. I like the IVs because it's 100% delivery, and it's monitored by us clinicians here. So, my suggestion is to find a clinician who understands and has been trained in EDTA chelation therapy. And I would not use over-the-internet Detoxamin because I don't know who's making it anymore or the quality of the product, but I wish you well so far.

Question
“A man with extremely low testosterone is in danger of worsening his osteoporosis, right? Also, is it true that excessive levothyroxine can worsen osteoporosis?”  [0:15:54]

Answer
Yes, that’s correct. Yes, that's true, but I don't think at the doses that are standardly given. Really, hyperthyroidism is associated with a large abnormal supraphysiologic exposure to free T3, and that metabolism will impact all parts of the human body, including bone turnover, which promotes bone loss. And that's why hyperthyroidism or excessive dosing with thyroid medications can be linked to worsening bone density. But in general, most thyroid doses are not associated with that at all. The other thing is that testosterone is involved in the building up of the muscles that are going to be pulling on the bone and the periosteum, which is like a sheath, like putting a nylon sock on the bone for the tendons to attach to in the muscles. And so, testosterone lack will be associated with muscle loss and weakening of that tension signal on the bone, which also will be associated with a lack of promoting the bone. So there are two different rationales: one is over metabolically stimulating it and hypermetabolic breakdown in excess, and the other is understimulation for the building up. The two together are a bad scenario. So, hopefully that helps you understand what's going on.

Question
“What are your thoughts on Tirzepatide?”  [0:18:01]

Answer
Tirzepatide is one of those peptide therapies out there that has been gaining a lot of – Mounjaro, I think, is its trade name– attention because it's a GLP-1 agonist and GIP agonist, glucagon receptor agonism, and both of these are associated with helping with sugar metabolism, appetite, and weight loss. And since America has such a tremendous insult from all the sugar and carbohydrate marketing to eat, eat all the time, and eat their processed foods, which makes sugar absorbed so rapidly and it drives up a spike of insulin, and then that drives that sugar into the cells for usage and then creates a drop in glucose that will create a hunger surge, that'll create the cycle of eating more junk food again that creates the insulin surge that drives the sugar into absorption and the cells into this endless cycle where you can never get satisfied with your hunger because we're never satisfied with carbohydrates. We're satisfied with fat and protein. Those are what we call satiating, satisfying the hunger drug. That would just be to take a tablespoon of olive oil, take a tablespoon of butter, put it in some warm tea, herbal tea. This will always slow down digestion, reduce your appetite, and be associated with helping you to lose weight and stay well.

So, what is my thought on tirzepatide? I'm going to say that if you are in life-threatening risk of such morbid obesity, that you have cardiovascular problems, high blood pressure, angina, chest pain, bone on bone breakdown of the cartilage, I mean serious cases I can see using this, but I think if you're an average American who you might have a BMI of 27 to 34, which would be overweight or even a little bit over 34, I think the right way to do that is to have a time-restricted eating, to do weight training, to learn about the of carbohydrate-to-insulin circling that is never satisfied and that your marketing system is designed to keep you eating this kind of food so that you keep on repurchasing it and the cycle goes on, making the manufacturer wealthy and you sick ultimately, gradually getting overweight and so forth. And that's the better way to do it – with weight training, time-restricted eating. Learn not to eat late at night. Pretty much the insulin and digestive enzyme output is twice as hard after 3:00 or 4 o'clock in the afternoon. That's why we keep on saying do not eat late, and especially if you're older. So, that's what I think about tirzepatide.

Question
“I have been using CA EDTA suppositories for the past two weeks. With each dose, I get headaches the next day, which are reduced a bit if I take a lot of Zeolite. Can the headache be caused by redistribution of heavy metals into my brain? I am 58 and trying to detox from gadolinium, lead, mercury, and other heavy metals. Thank you.”  [0:22:04]

Answer
Well, once again, I don't know who's manufacturing this suppository. Is it prescribed to you by a physician, are you getting it from a reputable compounding pharmacy that is making it, or are you getting this online and ordering it from what we would call a gray source? We don't know the quality? That means we don't know what's in the filler and matrix of the suppository. And I never had this problem with headaches reported in the years and years that I used the Detoxamin suppositories of EDTA; never did I have these headaches complained of. So, I would have to assume that that is an issue. The other thing is, zeolite is basically a type of volcanic ash concentrate whose three-dimensional structure attracts the cation electropositive nature of heavy metal toxins. And I would just say that I don't think that you're probably taking a quality product. Find a physician who understands and has done training with the American Academy of Advancement of Medicine. It is the oldest medical organization for physicians who had open minds to talk about multidisciplinary systems from various other doctors around the world, applying it to the care of their patients and looking at the repurposing of old drugs, and that's what happened with EDTA chelation: FDA-approved, but applications exist, like for so many other drugs out there. One of the most exciting ones of late is an antiparasitic, but now it's having many features of its mechanism of action, in which there are eight or nine known mechanisms of action now associated with killing off abnormal cell growth of tumors. So, yeah, we have many things that we can do. And that's why ACAM, the American College for the Advancement of Medicine, was created, and that actually came out of an organization in the Great Lakes area called the Great Lakes Medical Association for the Advancement of Medicine, GLACAM. Okay, GLACAM turned into ACAM, and that's the parent. That's always taught chelation. GLACAM was formed to promote chelation therapy in the Great Lakes area, and that's, I grew up in Northern Illinois near Lake Michigan, and my father, in food research, learned of this for cardiovascular help for my grandfather, his father-in-law, tremendously helped his unstable angina by getting chelation from doctors there in the 1960s. So, that was pretty exciting.

You also said, “Does this cause redistribution of heavy metals?”  - In general, there is no such speed of movement. I've never had such sizable motion, especially from a suppository that would trigger any tested or perceived heavy metal motion for detoxification that would imply it moved into or out of the brain. That's never been well defined. Your blood-brain barrier is designed to protect you for the most part against things like that, and I've never seen that.

Question
“Dear Dr. E., I am also experiencing joint pain after taking Calcium EDTA suppositories for the past two weeks. I also did after trying sauna to detox from gadolinium. I heard it is from redistribution? I am hopeful that if I stick with it, it will get better, but maybe my heavy metal load is too high. I would really appreciate your advice. Thanks again.”  [0:26:58]

Answer
That's layman talk, and it's foolishness for the most part. So again, find an EDTA chelation physician who has gone to ACAM and been trained and certified. I used to teach along with Dorothy Merritt. We would teach EDTA chelation and then certify them. And there's a standard protocol, dosing, a follow-up test for kidney function and minerals, electrolytes in the body, a whole protocol, and this is what you need to be under the care of a physician who would do this in the correct fashion. If you go to ACAM.org, you can put in your zip code, and you should be able to find a physician who has done that because we've been an organization since 1972. So, 50-plus years. So, there's enough of us all around that you should be able to do that.

Question
“Can you explain your hydrogen water again? Also, are putting hydrogen tablets in water also helpful if we don’t have the wand and pitcher that you use?”  [0:28:45]

Answer
The answer is yes. If you say what the most abundant thing a human being is made of is, that molecule is hydrogen. And hydrogen has many levels; you might say valence, which is like an energy state. It could be an isotope. It could be a heavy hydrogen molecule like Deuterium. The name of the heavy hydrogen is called Deuterium. Normal hydrogen is a proton and an electron circulating, and it's the smallest molecule we know of. And so, if it becomes an isotope, then the water molecule could have one hydrogen that's normal and one that is heavy, the Deuterium. And so, it's not optimally working. We're all exposed to Deuterium on the planet, and we would say that somewhere in the realm of, what is it, 150 parts per billion or million- I can't remember if it's million or billion- but all the water around us has this contamination of the isotope of a heavy hydrogen atom. There are places where, if the water rises like in a cloud and then it gets cooled and it lands on a very, very high mountaintop, like Mount Everest, the Himalayas, Mount McKinley, that water can only get high up like that because it's lighter. The heavier hydrogen water molecules always drop out. And so, the heaviest area on the planet of Deuterium is at the equator. And that's clearly about 155 parts per million or billion. But if you go to these mountaintops, the snow is made of pure water, or relatively pure compared to what's at lower elevations. Therefore, people who drink pure water without the isotope, it's been said that they live longer; they have healthier older generations of people reaching their 90s, 100, 110 years old, doing quite well. And so, drinking the Deuterium-depleted water, although costly, is backed by research clearly from the early 1930s and 1940s, and Russia did most of it. Of course, they have all those people up in their Siberian cold elements to study. So they have a large population of individuals who lived long and did well, and they were found to have blood levels of Deuterium that were like 130 parts per billion. At the same time, most of us who live here at sea level are around 150, 148, something like that. It looks like the people who live the longest on Deuterium-depleted water had levels of Deuterium in their bodies that were under about 135 parts per billion, something like that.

So, yes, the hydrogen tablets do work. There are devices you can purchase that generate hydrogen, and through electrolysis, there's little machinery that helps make it in your water; it bubbles through it. You have to drink it right away because, remember, hydrogen is light, and it's going to lift away. I forget what the name of that packet of water was that I used to drink out of. It was sealed with, like, an aluminum sealant, kind of like they have in astronauts' water. What was the name of it… Anyway, so you can buy water like this that has hydrogen extra infused into it, you know, maybe 3% to 5% hydrogen. And yes, the mitochondria, our cell membranes, will have a pump for hydrogen ions to maintain pH and acidity and alkalinity. And if those ports become clogged with the heavy Deuterium hydrogen ion, that energy-producing mitochondria of yours is going to lose its capacity to produce energy for you. So, the less amount of heavy hydrogen you have, the less clogging of the hydrogen pumps, which means you'll probably have better energy metabolism everywhere in your body. So that's the logic to it.

The other part is structured water. Structured water is talking about the fact that water will orient itself when it's near a phospholipid biological cell membrane. So, the phospholipid structure, the bilipid membrane of the cell that creates the mycelium bubble, you might say, and then the inside can be water-soluble-loving things, but it's enwrapped in this fat soluble phospholipid layer, when water comes near the outside membrane or on the inside membrane, a water molecule H2O will behave differently. I don't think this is completely understood- the physics, biology, and physiology of it- but it does. And it will spit off one of its hydrogen ions and orient itself with one hydrogen positive next to the negative, larger oxygen molecule, which will orient next to a hydrogen molecule, which will orient to a negative oxygen, and you get this sequence layering or structure, and it forms what looks like a honeycomb. Okay. So there is wonderful physics, mathematical music, and orchestra of the life and creation of the Fibonacci curve, the spiral you see in a shell of a sea. These dimensions are associated with the construct of hydrogen and water. That's probably why we are the only planet in the universe that has life. So that water orients itself at a fatty membrane and structures itself so that it's layered with this unique electronegative layer around the fatty membrane of the cell. And the hydrogens that are pushed away from it stay close, so to speak, like a cloud around the surface structure, and that creates a polar system. The negative membrane and enwrapment of structure, and then the outer cloud of the extra hydrogen, creates two energy differentials, and that's the definition of a battery, and the battery produces energy and motion and the fantastic design of our God and His creation.

So, what does the wand do? Well, the wand itself, the actual glass part of the wand, is crystal. Crystal is a structure that is a transmitter of energy frequencies. Whereas glass is sand - silicone cooked and turned into glass- and this does not transmit energy, and it is an insulator. That's why they use it on these electrical wires. You see the old glass bulbs that were on it. So, when they take the crystal and they create this water that is structured, it has a frequency. Everything has a frequency. You can feel the energy frequency of your body. The Earth has a human resonance of 7.8 hertz cycles. Everything has a vibrational frequency because there's some energy all the time in everything. And when that happens, the wand- that wand with crystal separates that structured water at its frequency, and it'll be put into a glass of water that's disorganized, not structured, and the message of the structure in the wand will speak to or impact the water in the glass and train it and enlist it into the music or the vibration of the inner water in that crystal wand. Much like if you threw a pebble into a pond, that one pebble will impact rings and rings and rings and rings and rings and rings. So it organizes the water structure. And that's why I put the wand in my water. Structured water helps create a better membranous energy potential; we call it a dipole or the zeta potential on the cell membrane. It's part of the reason why blood flows through your body. And it's part of the reason why you'll tend to not have blood clots or poor blood flow. You'll have better perfusion in your eyeballs, and your brain and your skin will be better. So, all these things add up- the various things we do to help improve the state of health of everything. So hopefully that helps you there on that.

Question
“My friend, your patient, has a spot on the leg that the dermatologist said might be skin cancer but said to wait until summer is over to biopsy. I suggested putting a smidgen of ivermectin horse paste once daily. What are your thoughts?”  [0:41:33]

Answer
Well, I don't understand why the dermatologist said to wait until the summer is over. I mean, if you think something's cancerous and needs to be removed, I would think you would take it right away. So, it all sounds quite bizarre to me. Now, I don't think you're going to harm anything with ivermectin. There are so many other things to think about. How old is this person? What other comorbidities do they have? Do they have diabetes? Most of us, as we get older, don't eat our food properly. We get lazier and self-indulgent, and we start just eating carbs and carbs and carbs and carbs. So, the long and the short of it is, sugar promotes insulin secretion; insulin promotes growth, fat, thickening of the blood vessel, and that stimulates tumors to grow. So, my thought would be you have to have this managed and see your doctor and get that thing taken off, and I can't see what harm Ivermectin topically would do. But again, I just don't know the situation, but I can't see any harm in using topical ivermectin. Okay.

Question
“If a person has ALT and AST in the normal ranges, can he be confident that his liver is healthy?”  [0:43:16]

Answer
I would say, yeah, absolutely. That's a very good indicator, especially the ALT. ALT is a little more sensitive, and usually people who have elevated ALT are eating too much fruit and fruit sugar, sugary drinks, and the alanine transaminase goes up very quickly, hurting the liver and getting fat clogged up and turning it into a non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and that becomes fibrous and scarring. So, yeah, I think that's a good finding.

Question
“For shoulder/spine problems, chiropractors have the best remedies. Please check Russian and Malaysian chiropractor (Chris Leong on YouTube); most world-class sports teams have chiropractors who get athletes back playing fast.”  [0:44:12]

Answer
So, this isn't a question; it's a statement. Well, thank you. I do. I saw this gentleman, Chris Leong, and yes, I do believe in the field of chiropractic medicine and colon hydrotherapy and acupuncture and electromagnetic pulse therapy. I believe in all of this. It has its point and value. The practitioner, your clinician, has to put it all together, though. And so, I still think you need the central operator to be a licensed physician, medical doctor. But yeah, I think that's wonderful to have chiropractic support.

Question
“Hi Dr. E! Is there a way to protect yourself from the EMFs and radiation in electric and hybrid cars? And is that even something to be concerned about? Thank you.”  [0:45:17]

Answer
Well, yes, and there's a whole field of science studying this, and the car manufacturers today are trying to put a greater lead shield on where those battery banks are compared to where you're sitting. Very often it's under the seat of the back seat row there. And if your kids are on it and they're growing, that's not something you want them to do. So, there's a whole science about shielding yourself from electromagnetic frequencies. It's something we should be concerned about, and there are many application devices: some you wear, some you put on your phone, and other devices in your house. There is a wonderful guy on YouTube; he's a physics professor, EMPdoctor. All in one word. And he's a physicist, and he goes over all these things, and he's very credible.

Question
“Hello Dr. Rita, this last week I started feeling bloated, and even if it’s TMI, my stool is a little greasy. Of course, I Googled it, but I don’t know exactly what it could be. Happened to me before, and I didn’t do anything about it, and it went away. I’m taking digestive enzymes and enzymatic enzymes. Thank you.”  [0:46:39]

Answer
Well, I guess that's not a question. Last week you were feeling bloated and having some stool that was a little greasy. If you're taking Digestzyme, that's the one from Ortho Molecular that has betaine hydrochloric acid. It has ox bile in it. A lot of people don't make enough bile to emulsify the fats, and then the stools can get more kind of greasy, you might say. So, make sure you're taking a quality digestive enzyme with those things in it. You know, papain and amylase, and ox bile, and betaine hydrochloric acid- these are some of the basic things that have to be in a good digestive enzyme to help people, especially if you're a blood type A person. So, I don't know what to say, of course, because it isn't a question. I'm glad it went away, and you should discuss that with your doctor and go through that.

Question
“My daughter-in-law knows that I work hard to eat healthy and exercise, etc. So she asked me about key things to do before attempting to get pregnant. I told her prenatal supplements, exercise, no processed food, no alcohol, no sugar (limit), reduce exposure to plastics... However, I would really appreciate your input on this, please. Thank you!”  [0:48:18]

Answer
So, she wants to attempt to get pregnant. I am going to say, very often, we are mineral-deficient, and we are B vitamin-deficient. The food today, compared to the food in the 1950s, is not as nutrient-dense. They have genetically modified things so much that they become sweeter, bigger, and more appealing to the eye and the sweet taste rather than the design of the high-quality nutrient density. So, foods today are not as mineral- and B vitamin-rich, plus they are picked unripe, and they're put in argon gas, and they're stored for long times, and it's just a whole silly marketing program. So in general, what I do with my patients is I put them on Juice Plus. These are organic, ripened, and immediately frozen, and then they're processed and tested spectrometrically for toxins from pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides at four different points in the process of the juice, vegetable, and berry blends. So, that's a tremendous polyphenol, all the colors, 30 different fruits, vegetables, and berries. So, I'm very much in favor of Juice Plus. It's got 45-plus published papers; I'm published in it, and I take it every day. Number two, I would take an excellent multi-mineral. I'm going to recommend TLC Multi Min because I've tested it. There are probably others out there of high quality. But you've got to get zinc. Very often, there isn't enough zinc in the diet of men, and their sperm activity and motility are deficient. They have to be low-carb. So, you have to eat a rich amount of healthy fats and protein, and a high-carb diet is what the younger generation is contaminated with. So, try and eat as much fish and chicken and beef and eggs and pork and raw dairy as you can because that's what you make a baby out of: protein and fat. They're not made of fruits and vegetables. We try and get nutrients out of the fruits and vegetables, but again, they're not as nutrient-dense as they used to be 75 years ago.

The other thing is, I would be on iodine 12.5 mg, Iodoral, and I would take vitamin D, at least 5,000 IU, with K2 anywhere from 45 to 90 mcg a day. That would be my absolute bare minimum. The polyphenol for the antioxidants, Juice Plus, the D, the iodine, the methylated B complex, and the TLC Multi-Mineral, with a healthy, rich protein and fat diet, a very low-carb diet, and then, of course, get a good night's sleep and exercise. Then, if you have a doctor, I would get involved with maybe having the woman take natural human bioidentical progesterone day 15 through 25 of her menstrual cycle to ensure that she's getting a progesterone cycle because stress will stop ovulation, and that would be beneficial too, and try to relax, trust the Lord. Hopefully that helps.

Question
“Hi, thanks for having chelation available. How much water should we drink during and after it?”  [0:52:32]

Answer
Well, if you drink half your weight in pounds as ounces a day, that's plenty. And if you try and make that a pattern every day of your life, that's going to be a real blessing.

Question
“Hi Dr. E! What is your opinion on products like Mitopure (a patented, clinical-grade supplement containing Urolithin A designed to support cellular energy and mitochondrial health as you age) and Graymatter Bright Mind (a plant-based drinkable nootropic powder designed to improve mental focus, clarity, and daily cognitive performance )? Thank you.”  [0:52:51]

Answer
What do I think of them? I've seen them, Mitopure; I'm not an expert on it. I think Mitopure with Urolithin A has, just on the Urolithin A alone, increased energy production out of the mitochondria no matter what, and that's part of bile production, TUDCA. TUDCA is a product that is made from UDCA from our bile acids. So, I always take my digestive enzymes now that I'm older. I try to eat a healthy fat and protein diet, so I make enough bile. So, I have that to have good energy. Whether or not it's a great product- and that's called Mitopure- if it is, then I would, in general, think it's good from what I've learned about just the biochemistry of Urolithin A.

And then the other one was the Graymatter Bright Mind. That, I think, is stuff like L-theanine and certain magnesium. What else might be in it… It helps with, I think, neurotransmitter production. All right. This is good, but I'll tell you what's even better – Exercise. We know that if you do weight training three times a week on the machines and if you stop eating early in the evening, not eat late, get a good night's sleep, your brain is probably going to live a long time. And be on a lower-carb diet. Get away from all that refined, processed stuff and get some sunshine. These are the things with known factors, without thinking everything we need has to be in a pill or a nutraceutical. We have to do the exercise. But I don't know of any study that compares, for instance, Urolithin A to a group of people doing a cognitive test and then another group of people just doing exercise and doing the same neurocognitive test after 12 weeks. That’s never going to be done, folks. No one's going to take the time to do it. But with 45 years of clinical practice, I'm going to tell you, I'd go for the exercise a thousand times over the Urolithin A, and I still think Urolithin A is a good molecule.

Question
“I’m having consistently high blood pressure, measured at different times during the day, 140s and 150s over 70. No other major symptoms. I’m not overweight, don’t smoke, hardly drink, and eat well. Are there any natural supplements I can take that will help?”  [0:56:08]

Answer
So, what I would say is, do wall squats. A natural way to help this is to do wall squats. So, you stand on the wall, slide down so you look like you're in a chair. And you hold that for a minute, then do that morning and evening. Hold it for a minute in the morning and evening. Drink your water. Do your routine exercises or whatever else you're going to do three times a week minimum. Don't eat. And that should be enough to make a big difference right there: drinking enough water. Wall squats are what I would say. I really have always seen that work very well. And you can go on YouTube and look up wall squats for lowering blood pressure, and you can see the research on that referenced. It's quite impressive.

Question
“Can you give your opinion on nuts in the diet? How about nut butters?”  [0:57:27]

Answer
No, I don't like anything that's processed. The only nuts that have, I think, value are walnuts. They are the most protein-rich of all the nuts. I think an ounce of walnuts will have 6 grams of protein and 5 grams of carbs. So, actually, it’s more protein. It has lots of nutrients, zinc, and things like that in there. The other would be pecans, and then the other would be pecans and walnuts, macadamia nuts, and maybe Brazil nuts, especially for the selenium in Brazil nuts. All the others are not nuts. For instance, peanuts are a legume. Cashews are a legume. Sunflower seeds probably have some value, especially the saponins that are in the pumpkin seed that help with prostate blocking 5-alpha reductase from converting testosterone into estradiol. But those would be the three nuts that I would use, and I would never process them.

See, we're doing things because of likes, and I just don't think life is all about entertainment. I think we're here to work. It's not about me. It's not about what makes me happy. I'm here to serve my King, my lord Jesus Christ. And that's my worldview. And if he would require me to die for him, I should be obedient and die for my faith in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is King. So, I don't worry about whether all the food I eat is fine, or whether all the clothes that I have are pretty or entertaining. Do I get vacations? Do I have a fancy car? None of this appeals to me. What appeals to me is happy, dear souls, human beings, that get the sense that they're loved and they are cared for. And so, that's what I'm driven by. So, don't worry about the nuts, and don't go for nut butters, and don't drink nut drinks, like almond drink and so forth. Please don't do that.

Question
“If you could only afford one, would you get the hydrogen water or the wand first?”  [1:00:11]

Answer
I would get the wand first because the oldest tested wand is 25 years old, and it'll do that for all your water, and it'll last forever. So, there you go. One purchase and it's in your water forever. There you go.

Question
“If I have Hashimoto’s and I’m taking NP Thyroid 90 mg, should I take iodine?”  [1:00:39]

Answer
Yes. But I'm going to say, I don't think you have Hashimoto’s, in the sense that that's the onset of the antibodies and the first finding of it, and that's usually the hyperactive phase. Most Hashimoto's then turns the thyroid into overworked and worn out, and then you become hypothyroid. So you take the thyroid, like you're on the 90 milligrams, and iodine is needed to make thyroid. So, that's why. Okay. So hopefully that helps. I'd take both.

Question
“Thank you for your generosity. What are your thoughts on blood ozone therapy?”  [1:01:34]

Answer
Well, I'm very much in favor of it for specific reasons. For instance, some people do have trouble with chronic Lyme or chronic Mycoplasma pneumoniae, or these, I suppose, others would be, you know, even tuberculosis, where we can mold would be another one. We can actually take your blood and ozonate it, you know, put 9 gals in it and make it all bright oxygenated blood, your own blood, say 50 cc, and then let it infuse back into your body, but then it'll pass through about a 2-foot lamp with three lights in it of ultraviolet light A, B, and C, and it'll run through that, and those waves will kill off all that material. So, yes, I believe in ozonated blood therapy.
